What is your perception of self-love? “Self Love to me is knowing how to have the perfect balance of quantity and quality in life. Without a balance there is no balance. Always have a humble heart and treat others how you would want to be treated! Blessed are those sincere in their hearts!”

KJ started out as a receptionist at a local radio station before she was offered a part- time shift, before moving to Middays. She quickly became Music Director, Assistant Program Director, and later programmed three urban radio stations simultaneously.

KJ’s worked in North and South Carolina doing middays. She also worked at 105.7 in Dallas. Presently KJ is on Majic 94.5 in the DFW and on weekends Denver’s Jammin’ 101.5.

KJ has volunteered countless hours and she has worked with the homeless, under-privileged youth, and she is an advocate for women’s initiatives.

She has been honored by countless organizations including the YMCA, The Midwest Radio and Records Association, Blue Chip Broadcasting Personality of the Year, and “Who’s Who in Black Dallas.” She has been featured in several local and national trade publications for her outstanding work.

K.J. founded “Midday Enterprises”, “Aircheck Concierge” to coach on air radio talent and “Hey Girl Nation”, an organization started to empower, to entertain and inspire women from across the world.

KJ is the owner of “KJ’s Kloset” an upscale resale boutique that allows women in the community, to dress for success while seeking employment. In 2019 she launched a boutique catering company, “KJ’s Kitchen Kreations”.
