Carol Blackmon is an Atlanta radio icon who reigned as the
First Lady of Atlanta radio for a decade while hosting the #1
morning show in the market with the legendary Mike Roberts. The professional media coach has spent more than three decades as a radio personality and doubling as a TV host for the Georgia Lottery & national drawings. One of the first Black female broadcasters to receive a Resolution from the Georgia State Capitol, Carol, a member of the “Fabulous Five,” also received a Proclamation from Atlanta City Hall.

Mike Roberts gave Carol her first radio job at 1380 AM-WIGO working part time and later mid-days. The “Mike and Carol in the Morning Show” will go down in history as the undisputed champions of mornings at the leading station in Atlanta, V103. Interviewing celebs from Oprah to Samuel L. Jackson, Carol, a former “Atlanta Jams” TV Host, also voice-tracked an R&B radio show called “Night Champagne” which aired in Japan. The savvy business woman opened a media coaching service and taught many media
clients how to produce voiceovers for national and global brands. Carol hosted the “Majic Midday Café” on Majic 107.5/97.5 and is now a nationally syndicated co-host for “The Chubb Rock Show” with SiMan Baby and Keke Rock.
