Angela Greene

Angela’s radio career began in 1986 at WCLK when she was a student at then Clark College. By 1990, she moved around to at least 4 other stations, some stations twice in the Atlanta market: WFOX, WSB-FM. WALR, and WVEE over a 30 plus year span. She also worked as a traffic anchor for the nationally syndicated, Tom Joyner Morning Show. Greene also enjoyed a career as a journalist for The Atlanta Journal- Constitution, Huff Post, and the Gwinnett Citizen. She is also the author of Unnecessary Roughness-The Story of a Mother’s Fight for Justice, a true story that chronicles her journey through four jurisdictions as a pro se litigant in a civil rights case. Her book and the Greene family are listed in the Mississippi Department of Archives & History. The book is being developed into a movie. In 2019 she returned to WCLK and now host, Jazz It Up. Angela also serves as the Director of Media Relations and Public Affairs for Black Women in Radio (BWIR). Angela was proudly selected as a panelist to speak the Library of Congress on The State of Black Radio in 2020 for BWIR.
