At a very early age, Cookie Wright set her sights on a career in the music business which compelled her to study the art. She was drawn to Johnny Taylor, Tyrone Davis , Koko Taylor , B.B King at 8 years old.

In the 1980’s, after attending a Chuck Berry & Fats Domino concert at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Wright decided on Blues and Soul Blues.

Not even health challenges could stop her from researching, collecting
and driving all over the south to buy Blues Music she couldn’t get in her hometown, Atlanta.

In 2016 she was invited to KISS 104.1 as a guest to feature Soul Blues music on Georgia Radio Hall of Famer Mitch Faulkner’s Saturday Night Throwback Party Show.

In 2018, Cookie and Mitch co hosted “Soul Blues Live” on Radio One’s Classix 102.9, Sundays 7-9 pm.
