Director of Membership Engagement

Denise Nolan, also known as Yo Girl Necey, is a morning show producer, on air talent, mentor, and the newest member of the BWIR executive board as the Director of Membership Engagement.

It all started in 2006, Denise produced and hosted, two live Christian showcases, Kick’em or Keep’em”and “PAS Unplugged.” These shows marked her entrance into the world of “LIVE” Radio.
 Both shows were broadcast on three different radio stations (WBGX 1570AM) (WYCA 102.3FM) (WYLL 1160AM) and streamed live simultaneously over the internet.  These shows gave many local artists the opportunity to have their music heard over the air while also giving them a platform to perform live on stage.  In 2008 Denise decided that she could increase opportunities for more artist to be heard by creating her own internet radio station called Exhale Radio. Moving and to simply put it Life got pretty busy and in 2019 we stop the music.  

September 2008 Denise started working in the third largest market in radio at Crawford broadcasting. Producing shows one day a week on the weekend to moving to producing six days a week which really help strengthen her production skills.  Denise was given the opportunity to host a few weekends and soon became Necey your best friend on the weekend in 2018. Necey currently produces DeDe in the Morning (WPWX), Rickey Smiley Morning Show (WSRB) and fills in for middays when needed.  Some of the many things Necey loves to do is train new board ops, producers and on air hosts. 

 Necey works best at encouraging, training and preparing someone who wants to move to the next level in their radio career.
